Hinds' Feet Counseling has a robust clinical program focused on mental health and substance use disorder treatment, particularly for the adolescent population. All of the programs are grounded in experiential, client-centered, strength-based therapeutic modalities. In particular, the evidence-based models of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and acceptance-based behavioral therapy, and adventure/recreational therapy are the core of all of our programs. In addition to the group programs
detailed below, individual therapy is provided for those clients where it is indicated.

We strive to empower teens to rise to new heights by rebuilding in them a sense of hope, self-worth, and self-efficacy skills towards overcoming obstacles in their lives.
Hinds’ Feet Counseling programs utilize an eclectic philosophical approach grounded in evidence-based models of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Relational Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance-Based Behavioral Therapy, and Adventure Therapy.

Hinds' Feet Counseling is a Medicaid provider for Substance Dependence Treatment and Co-Occuring Disorders. We accept self-pay and offer a sliding fee scale based on income.

Today's employers recognize a lack of basic skills, higher order thinking skills and affective skills in potential employees. The inability to get and keep a job leads to: petty theft, using/selling drugs and alcohol, conduct problems, and dropping out of school.

It is through positive leisure skills that people can begin to learn how to express themselves in a healthier way.
They begin to learn useful coping skills that can help them to maintining a substance free lifestyle, increase low-self esteem,
manage depression, anger, anxiety and other mental health issues.
Activities include: Painting, drawing, ceramics, cards and jewlery design, and hiking in various locations in Colorado Springs.
